The Scenery. The beauty of the nature scenery is that when you see it, it’s always a picture perfect on every angle of it. There are a lot of places in the world that has beautiful scenery of nature. The waterfalls, water springs, lakes, the ocean, the sea, the beach. The forest, the trees, flowers. The sky, the birds, animals of any kind. You may have already visited these places or perhaps seen them on the internet. Sometimes when we see a picture and it just so captivating and we said to ourselves, ” I want to go there”. I think we always say that or just even say, “WOW” it’s beautiful.
Well, due to some circumstances, whatever may be, you can’t just jump on and take a plane or a ship just to go to the beautiful place you have seen in the picture. Nature is all around you. You may not notice it.
The beautiful nature has a lot to offer. Surrounding its beauty inspired a lot of multiplicities. Such as an inspiration for artists to paint, poets for poetry, writers, and even for music, and etc.
Aside from that, there a lot of things you can do with nature without planning a trip or booking a plane ticket and air bnb. Yes, of course you can always go to places and that is great. But sometimes financial planning also is part of going to places to visit to enjoy nature. But that does not stop you from enjoying nature.
Things You Can Do With Nature
Nature Walking
Walking is an activity that can be either the roadside or sidewalk. It’s also considered as a light exercise. Nature walking is kind of different because it is most likely done in a trail or footpath in most cases in a preserved nature trails or along countryside.
In nature walking you can do your light exercise while being mindful of the presence of nature. Breathing fresh air. Sometimes the sense of smell stimulates your mood. It may give you sense of calmness and tranquility.
When you are to choose to go nature walking in nature trails you will learn also about the trail itself. Nature trails has stopping points and you sometimes can see some kind of informational stations. The stations may include the name of the trail, description and it’s history.
Forest Bathing
Forest bathing and forest therapy are practices that combine the senses of the forest with the conscious practice of being immersed in its atmosphere. It was developed in Japan in the 1980s.
To do forest bathing, you don’t necessarily need to go to the forest if you don’t want to. Instead of heading to a wooded area, why not take a walk around the neighborhood or a local park? There are many natural settings that can be enjoyed outside.
There is a little difference between nature walking and forest bathing. In forest bathing, it is more of a relaxation and it involves more of involving all your senses accepting nature to yourself. It is letting the forest in and enjoy completely the smell of the fragrance of the forest, the trees, and the surrounding greenery. Your body is the guide and let it take you where you want to be.
Take a few deep breaths before you reach your destination.
You could sit and watch the trees sway in the wind, or you could walk around and explore the surrounding area. It’s important to allow your mind and senses to wander and explore without a definite destination in mind.
Some studies says taking a walk in the forests can help lower blood pressure and improve memory. Certain plants also release chemicals that boost the immune system.
Forest bathing is a great way to introduce children and adults to the concept of concentration and mindfulness.
Cloud Formation Watching
You may wonder what is cloud formation watching. Well, have you seen the movie “UP”? It’s a Disney/Pixar movie. I am not talking about flying the house with balloons. I am talking about one of the things that the couple do in one of their favorite pastime. They were on the hill and lay down and just watch the sky and observe the beauty of nature on how clouds formed different things. This is cloud formation watching.
You can just sit outside from your house and just look up the sky. Or wherever you maybe. The sky is your limit. Your creativity will kicked in.
You can also use this when you are travelling with kids by car. When they start asking you the epic question of “Are we there yet?”, distract their attention and have a game of cloud formation watching. It will work as long it’s sunny and there’s an abundance of clouds in the sky.
Bird Watching
Bird watching is not new. As a matter of fact there are different organizations doing this type of activity. Some people will literally travel around the world just to see all the different types of species of birds. Birds are so beautiful.
Have you noticed that there are birds chirping around where you live? Hey, they are all around. You will noticed also that some birds are seasonal. What I mean is in some places around the world, birds migrate all over depending on the season. You don’t need to an expert to be a birder but the beauty of it is amazing. You can enjoy birds in your backyard by having a bird house, bird feeder, and a bird bath. Have your binocular ready. It is more fun to see them from the distance so that they won’t be scared and flew away.
Sunset Watching
Sunsets are so beautiful. It is an always an awe feeling. The beauty of sunset is amazing. There is always not the same sunset you will be ever experience. There will be no the same sunset you will ever experience. It is always beautiful.
Sunset watching can be so beneficial. First thing is, it gives you a reason to go out. Some research said that it will alleviate your mood. It will calm you down and relieved your stress.
The beauty of sunset makes you so grateful of earth that it gives you an inspiration of anything. Whatever maybe what you are feeling at the moment when you watch a sunset, it makes you feel so different. It may be some spiritual, emotional, creativity, etc.

As I have mention earlier that nature can be an inspiration to anything. Well, photography is the most practiced one. Why I said that. It is because with technology nowadays, almost everyone has a mobile phone with camera. Some phones have very good lenses that almost comparable to high-end still photo cameras or video cameras. You don’t need to be a professional to take photos.
Have you seen posted pictures in social media? A lot of pictures being shared with subjects of everything. For example, a leaf, a flower, an animal, a flowering weed even, anything what your mind and your creativity wants to take a picture with.
